These days my life seems to be broken into little pieces. Each piece for a different country.
For the past few months, I have been travelling around like crazy. Living on and off in London for some exciting research. Off to a conference in Vienna. Doing the necessary laundry back home. And luckily also time for some R&R.
We spend an amazing few days in beautiful Lisbon, the City of Seven Hills.
When you walk around in the city, looking up you will see the ruins of the Gothic Igreja do Carmo (the Carmo Church). It was damaged in the Great Lisbon Earthquake of 1755, which devastated the city.
With the stone roof no longer over the nave, the only cover is the blue sky…
