Weekly Photo Challenge: Carefree

When I was younger, and we would be on holidays in France or Germany, me and my sister would generally manage to find a small stream nearby our campsite, and spend whole afternoons splashing around in the whirlpools and puddles.

Nowadays, whenever I see a small, shallow stream, like this one near the Athirapally Waterfalls in Kerala, I get this feeling again to just jump in and start splashing. Carefree, like a little kid 🙂

Which is exactly what we did here a bit… isn’t it a pity that we seem to lose some of this carefree spirit as we grow up?

What childhood activity would you love to act out again, entirely carefree, today?

  1. Cruising with the boat was fun. It had a small motor, but large enough for us kids (we were 8-10 years at the time).
