There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in…

– Leonard Cohen –

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like…

To just leave everything behind.

To let go of the expectations others have of you. To let go of the confinement of consu-more-ism. To do what everyone tells you not to.

To live a more simple life.

And then, perhaps one day,Β there is that moment. When you can see the first spark of light coming in.

It will bounce off the walls of your potential. Illuminating the corners of your mind.

And all you really need to do is widen that crack, and step into the sun to escape the prison of your self-imposed limitations.

… maybe one day.

  1. I love this quote by Leonard Cohen and even used it as inspiration in one of my posts once. Indeed step into the sun to escape your own self-imposed limitations! Love this!

  3. The last part about self imposed limitations and the escape into the sun just hit the spot for me. This is a lovely entry (both picture and the words) !

  4. Quote reminds me of an album by a singer song writer from New York.
