Weekly Photo Challenge: Fleeting Moment

© See Love Remember, 2012

Fleeting moment.

Some say life is a fleeting moment.

So grab hold of it while it lasts.

Yet, all we seem to do is rush about. To work and back again. Day in, day out.

Maybe sometimes it is good to stand still for a little while and just look at the bustling around you.

To ask yourself if you are going in the direction you feel you need to be going. Or if you are simply going there because the rest of the crowd is. Because it is what is expected of you.

… but is it what you want?

If not, maybe it’s time to turn around and go for what you desire.

It may be crazy.

You may not succeed.

But just remember: life is only a fleeting moment. Why waste it on things you will regret?

These photos are part of a continuous series, aimed to capture the morning rush hour on your average Dutch railway station. It was funny to see the people crawl over the platforms like ants the one minute, while it would be (nearly) deserted only a few minutes later.

What’s with the rush, people? 😉

I very much enjoyed my random day off!

  1. Perfect words, perfect photo!

  2. I can imagine that is a GREAT place to people watch. I LOVE this capture. You truly describe life’s fleeting moments so true. They do tend to rush in and rush out.
