Two days ago, as my plane had set in its descend to Schiphol Airport, I noticed for the first time how much the Dutch landscape changes during spring time.
The usual chess board pattern of fields and meadows, in various shades of yellow, green and brown, now includes bright colours.
Vivid red. Bright yellow. Warm purple.
For a few weeks per year, the Netherlands looks like it is covered in a multicoloured quilt.
