I don’t have many items that I consider ‘mine’.
But I have many special memories that are 🙂
I took my boyfriend to national park De Groote Peel – the one that my parents always took me hiking when I was a little girl. He had become curious after seeing some of my childhood photos.
It’s a beautiful, bird-rich heathland, with elevated wooden walkways, like this one, to make your way through the wetland and marshes.
A lovely walk through the past, when the local Black Gold was still extracted from the area, enjoying the wonderful weather.
The legs in the picture… I also consider those to be mine… or at least I have co-ownership 😉
An effective photo in B&W
Thank you Colline! It was a difficult choice between this one and the colour version 🙂
I would imagine the B&W creates more of an atmosphere
It was the light that gave the final decision – it simply worked a bit better in B&W 🙂
I haven’t seen the color version butI think you made the right choice.
Thanks Dawn 🙂
lovely taken ❤
Thank you so much, Sara!
It only took a few seconds to take the photo, as I had to hurry while my boyfriend kept walking… So it feels like a lucky shot to some extent 🙂
Applaudable!

I am considering to print this one large (maybe even on canvas?) and putting it on my living room wall. Also because my boyfriend will be moving to the otherside of the world soon, and I will have to miss his legs for a while 😉
I like this B&W – it makes me pay attention to the forms and tones instead of being mesmerized by the colors.
Thanks Mel 🙂 The colours in the original were all very earthy – green and brown hues – but the B&W definitely makes the images stronger.
